It's official as written in stone. Zzen has finally finished completion of their debut album. Currently in the process of sorting out the nitty-gritty non-musical issues that make this such an ugly machine, we will have a release date to announce hopefully within the next 3 weeks! It's been a long and tumultuous ride with a lot of people trying to hang on, but we've seen ourselves through to the light and left that tunnel behind. A big thank you to everyone (and we do mean EVERYONE) for their kind words and support along the way. For all the naysayers, the muses, the emotions, the issues, the weather and the economic and political conditions around us; I can safely say all of those had an effect every single waking moment on how each song sounds and has evolved over time. Here's to now and the future! Brian Vegas
The Toronto Star conducted an interview with band co-founder Brian Vegas late 2007. A brief outline of that interview can be found on the Toronto Star's website There is also a very interesting read on the band Zameer!
excerpt from the Zzen article -
“Difficult as it may seem, I feel that we can achieve a certain level of mainstream success if we persevere and focus on the multi-ethnicity of the city and take into consideration the smorgasbord of humanity that makes up Toronto and Canada,” Vegas says.

This included therapeutic oils to stimulate the sense of smell, a photo exhibit featuring work from our community members illustrating a theme of 'support' to stimulate the mind, international cuisine to stimulate the sense of taste, a mix of traditional dhol and contemporary acoustic musical performances by Tej Hunjan from Contejus Entertainment and Brian Vegas from Zzen, to stimulate the sense of sound as well as a colour therapy fusion fashion show by designer Melissa Buckland, to stimulate the sense of sight.
